Molly and Colin finally said ‘I do’ in June of 2021 after a long awaited pandemic engagement. They postponed and went through what some would consider ‘wedding planning hell’ yet they continued to focus on the mere fact that they were just two people in love who wanted to celebrate just that! Their attitudes remained positive and the day finally came and it was downright magical!
Both Molly and Colin have a calm demeaner, but they valued being able to enjoy their wedding to the fullest so we were so excited to be part of it all. Molly and Colin had their ceremony at a sweet church in Groton and then had cocktail hour and their reception immediately after at Groton Point Yacht Club.
The cocktail hour was the perfect setting for a yacht club, with a vintage, cushman tap truck, freshly shucked oysters and a killer charcuterie spread. The weather was perfect, not too warm, not too cold. Colin and Molly were able to mingle and enjoy their guests company because they started their day off with a first look. They slurped oysters and drank their favorite beverages and enjoyed every second.
The reception was beachy, boho and timeless. The venue and décor perfectly represented Molly and Colin’s chic, clean taste. Molly’s beautiful gown was the perfect dress for their first dance as a married couple, the way it swayed with each step.
The DJ executed what I witnessed to be the most epic dance party we have ever been a part of! It was as if all of the guests weren’t able to dance for over a year and they all just let loose (this was true, they were all stuck in their homes due to the pandemic!)
